The amount of wildlife in northwest Pennsylvania and the beautiful landscape associated with this area has always been an attractive subject for artists. This natural atmosphere has spawned a great interest and undertaking of wildlife art by many of the area's residents. Moreover, many of these artists have further promoted their careers through the opening of wildlife art galleries and shops. In these galleries one can find beautiful works of art based on the area and the native animals. Located in Cambridge Springs, the Leslie Blake Back Home Studio is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and by appointment. Specializing in fine art limited edition prints, original paintings, and commissions, the Back Home Studio exhibits a collection of wildlife art with a northwestern Pennsylvania influence. Leslie Blake was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania, and is a self-taught artist whose passion is the rural settings and country living that she grew up with. Painting full time in the studio and focusing on what has come to be called Rural American Memories, Leslie invites those interested to visit during her working hours and browse through the studio. Group tours can be arranged and a special discount of 10% is offered during tours. These tours are perfect for visiting relatives, garden clubs, any type of organization. Additionally, the studio offers special events such as "Tea and Crumpets," "Seasonal Gourmet Tidbits", and a "Business Breakfast Tour."

Jack strives to bridge the gap in the audience's understanding of art and the environment. As Jack explains, "I would like to inspire in my viewers a new awareness of our environment and the wildlife that surrounds us today..." Back to wildlife artists/galleries Growing up in northwestern Pennsylvania, learning to treasure and respect nature and wildlife, has certainly influenced Janice Patton's work. After teaching art in public schools for thirty years, Janice has retired and now creates wildlife/nature art full time. Specializing in feather paintings, limited edition prints and commissions, Janice is also experienced in calligraphy, acrylic, and prismacolor designs. In a word, the ability to describe her artistic abilities is summed up as "versatile." Located in Conneaut Lake, PA, Janice Patton's true hallmark has become her feather paintings. This "unique and different canvas" allows Janice to portray her love for wildlife as well as create a representation of Native American culture in her art.
